Nour Al Hassanieh
My research lies in the fields of numerical analysis, complex analysis, PDEs, and scientific computing.
During my PhD studies at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, I worked on finite difference methods for PDEs on complex geometries. I introduced novel boundary closures to support high-order-accurate finite-difference schemes with overset grids.
During my postdoctoral studies at New York University and the Flatiron Institute, I worked on developing fast and accurate algorithms for solving wave-equation problems using time-domain boundary integral methods. Specifically, I focused on 2D and 3D wave-equation scattering problems arising in applications such as acoustics, electromagnetics, and geophysics.
At the Lebanese American University, I continue to work on numerical methods for the wave equation and wave scattering applications
